We understand and support the intent of the Bill, but do not support its current language.

CORAs are one of the only ways local parents, guardians, researchers and journalists can obtain information when school boards intentionally or unintentionally are not transparent.

The Pro-CO Network knows better than most grassroots groups that CORAs amd FOIAs have been weaponized and can be disruptive. We empathize with the burden this places on school districts, schools and staff.

There are aspects of this bill we know members of our Network would support. Given that House Leadership assigned this to the Statem Military and Veterans Committee, we assume there is not much support among legislators.
